Routing¶
Front Door provides global HTTP load balancing with path-based routing, caching and SSL offloading.
WAF Policy¶
- Managed rules — OWASP CRS, bot protection
- Custom rules — rate limiting, geo-filtering
- Start in Detection mode, switch to Prevention after validation
Private Link Origins¶
Premium tier — traffic via Microsoft backbone, origin doesn’t need a public IP.
Summary¶
Front Door = global LB + CDN + WAF in one. Premium + Private Link for enterprise.
