We mapped our internal processes. The biggest pain points: order approvals (email chain), vacation requests (paper form), onboarding (47-point Excel checklist).
Camunda + Power Automate¶
Hybrid approach: simple processes in Power Automate, complex ones in Camunda (BPMN 2.0 engine). Camunda models processes in standard notation with full audit trail.
Pilot Project: Onboarding¶
In Camunda we modeled the entire onboarding process — HR enters an employee, parallel tasks are automatically created for IT, facilities and manager, escalation when SLA is not met. Result: from 5 days to 2 days, nothing gets forgotten.
Cultural Resistance¶
“Why fill out a form when I can just call?” — because Peter is on vacation and the process stops for three days. Showing concrete benefits helped dissolve the resistance.
